Mrs. Diana Arriola, President (2014-2018)
I retired from the Guadalupe Union School District in 2005 after 32 years. I was born in San Francisco and have lived in Guadalupe, Santa Maria, Orcutt, San Francisco and Salinas.I attended the Guadalupe Union School District, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Orcutt Union School District and Santa Maria Joint Union School District.
I have Certification of Participation in Santa Barbara County School Boards Association Board Governance Series; Member of the California School Boards Association and a Member of the Kiwanis Club of Guadalupe for 25 years.
I am a widow with four children and eight Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren. My hobbies are participating and attending my Grandchildren’s events and activities.
Continuing to make a positive difference in the needs of the students, staff, District and Community.

As I have always felt “Guadalupe is a sleeping giant getting ready to wakeup and we as the Guadalupe School District need to have our students ready for that challenge.”
Mr. David Hosking, Member (2016-2020)
I taught science for approximately 28 years (four years on the Navajo Reservation, Red Mesa High School, and 24 years at McKenzie Junior High. I retired from teaching in June, 2014).
I was raised in Southern California (Lakewood and Riverside). Since graduating from high school I have lived in Arcata, CA, Moab, UT, Salt Lake City, UT, Green River, UT, Denver, CO, Durango, CO, Teec Nos Pos, Navajo Nation, and Guadalupe, CA.
Since graduating from Polytechnic High School in Riverside, CA, I have attended Riverside Community College, UC Riverside, Humboldt State University, Fort Lewis State College, CO, and Northern Arizona University.
I graduated from Humboldt State with a BS in Natural Resources Planning and Interpretation. I also completed a degree equivalence in Environmental Biology and a Colorado State Secondary Education Science Teacher Certificate for Physical and Biological Science. I also hold a California State Secondary Education Teaching Certificate for General Science and Life Science.
In addition to teaching for 28 years I have also worked at Arches National Park, Moab, UT, Dead Horse Point State Park, Moab UT, Whitewater River Guide with Holiday River Expeditions, Green River, UT, conducted a water quality study for Utah State Land Office, Salt Lake City, UT, and worked as a Field Engineer for Geotechnical Engineering company in Denver, CO.
I have been married for 36 years and we have one daughter. We love to hike, camp, travel and visit family members both in and out of state.
I love representing the Guadalupe Community on the School Board. It is an honor and a privilege to once again serve the many families in this community.

Mr. Jose E. Pereyra, Member (2016-2020)
I grew up in Guadalupe, attended Mary Buren, Mckenzie, and Righetti. I left for schooling and work for 9years and now I am happy to be back home.
I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University. I also received my Master’s of Science degree in School Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential from California State University Long Beach.
I have worked as a school counselor for the last 6 years. I worked for Santa Ana Unified School District for a year and a half at the high school level. I also worked as a Junior High School Counselor in the city of Fullerton prior to me moving back home. I am currently working at Righetti High School as a School Counselor and I love serving the Guadalupe Community.
